The Mysterious Storyline Behind Sonic Adventure 2
Sonic Adventure 2 is developed by Sonic Team USA and published by Sega. Sonic Adventure 2 was released as a sequel to Sonic Adventure. The producer of Sonic Adventure 2 is SonicTeam Japan. The level designer is Takashi lizuka. The art director is Kazuyuki Hoshino. The character artist is Yuji Uekawa. The field art director is Hiroshi Nishiyama. The lead event artist is Michikazu Tamamura. The writer of the game script is Shiro Maekawa. The sound director is JunSenoue. Other composers of the Sonic Adventure 2 are Kenichi Tokoi, Fumie Kumatani, and Tomoya Ohtani. Sonic Adventure 2 can be played in Dreamcast and Game Cube platform. The Dreamcast version was released on the 23rd June 2001 in Japan and 18th June 2001 in North America. The Gamecube version was first released on the 10th December 2001 and 7th February in 2002 in North America.
The storyline begins with a mysterious black hedgehog robbing a bank. After Sonic managed to break away from the confines of the security helicopter, he jumps down into the city streets. All of a sudden, the mysterious black hedgehog appears before Sonic and grabbed the Chaos emerald from his hand. Soon after Eggman had made public to the world of his desire for world domination, strange incidents start to take place. For fans who have just started to follow sonic in his adventures, they should know Eggman is actually Dr. Robotnik. Sonic gives Dr. Robotnik the nickname ‘Eggman’ because he is shaped like an egg. When Sonic understands the relationship between Shadow and Dr. Eggman, he begins on his adventures to stop the evil plan from being fulfilled. In this particular release, the Blue Blur teams up with Tails and Knuckles. When Eggman was in his quest searching for the Top secret weapon, he broke into the security of the military base. Later, he discovered that the Top secret weapon is actually a black hedgehog that claims to be the ultimate life form. The black hedgehog is known as Shadow. Just as Eggman and Shadow begin to execute their evil plan, a bat named Rouge offers her aid to them. Thus, their plan to conquer the world starts.
To win this sonic game, the Blue Blur must catch up with Shadow so that Dr. Eggman’s plan of destruction cannot be fulfilled. The characters in Sonic Adventure 2 are Sonic, Shadow, Miles ‘Tails’ Prower, Dr. Robotnik, Knuckles, and Rouge.
There are a number of items found in Sonic Adventure 2 including high speed shoes, invincibility, ring box, shield, a magnetic shield, extra life and health. The high speed shoes boost the speed of your character for 30 seconds. The Invincibility item makes your character become invisible so that the enemy cannot see them. It also avoids the character being hit. With this item, you can’t lose his rings, or die. The Ring Box comes in a group of 5 rings, 10 rings, and 20 rings. If you have already collected 80 rings, the ring box will help you to get 1-up.
The Shield is an ordinary shield like StH2. If you are hit, the shield will lose its power on you but you will not lose your rings. The magnetic shield works like the Thunder Shield. The Thunder Shield can be used to collect nearby rings. Extra Life is head shaped and will give your life another 1-up. Health has the capability to restore the health of the character to 100%. All in all, this is one of the most exciting Sonic the Hedgehog games ever created.
